Catching Up

Last Week:
Last week we were unexpectedly out of town for Dave's grandmother's funeral. Aden was ecstatic about spending two nights with my friends. He had a delightful time beginning a bird-watching list with Diane (below), and he told us all about the exciting snake sighting with Bobbi at the park. We were so grateful to have trusted friends to be with Aden while we were away. Aden's comfort with our departure was a great sign too - six months ago, in the shadow of his illness and hospitalization, such an event would have been very traumatic for him. We love that life is returning to normal!

Last Weekend:

Last weekend we held a belated birthday party for Aden, his first summer party! A few boys he invited were on vacation, so it was a small group but that was perfect. They fed critters (below), ran through the sprinkler, threw water balloons, jumped on the trampoline and ate ice cream cake on the deck. Three more visitors included Bobbi and two kittens. We had a nice time cuddling them.

Last Night:

Last night was an animal-fest. Aden acquired a new frog - one we'd never seen before. He has identified it as a wood frog. Here he studies his specimen... Named Grog.
