We've discovered that 3 day-old kittens are squeaky and squirmy with a poky, brittle umbilical cord stump that feels weird on your hands when you hold them! Morning, noon and night, we steal away to observe the funny wiggles, peaceful moments of nursing, and heated sibling arguments over which feeding area belongs to whom. Mom, Samoa, takes it all in stride, purring all the time and happily watching us enjoy her and her babies. Aden is in heaven (and I must admit that I am too. Kittens are my favorite!).
