Catch up

We are all home now, safe and sound.  Aden had a great time at Cub Creek Science Camp in Rolla, MO again this year.

One night each week before bed, animals visit the cabin to see kids in their pajamas. 
On this night a wallaby joey, a marmoset, a boa constrictor and a llama came to see Aden and his friends. 

Aden chose to take a week-long crime science class.  It is fun to see
him trying new things!

For the week Aden adopted one of his favorite animals from last year, Cookie
the sand boa.  One of the days, the kids brought the snakes out and
supervised them getting some sunshine as an enrichment activity (below).

It was a grueling trip down and back, down and back, but I am so grateful that Aden had the opportunity to go to camp again this year.  He has so much fun and gets to experience so many animals that he would never ordinarily have the chance to handle and learn about in such close proximity.
