We have been home eleven days now... Eleven days seems like a long time, but it is still not as long as we lived at the hospital, so I guess I shouldn't expect miracles in terms of our moods and energy levels just yet.
Aden is doing fine. He is strong, healthy and healing. The only lingering issues are our fatigue, some migraine-like headaches that Aden is having (related to the anesthetic?) and all of us having limited patience with... well, just about anything.
Dad flew in to spend some time with Aden on Friday and left this morning. We played a lot of Sorry, watched some movies, did some yard work and just tried to get some rest and relaxation. The weather was beautiful, giving Dad an unseasonably pleasant perspective of November in Minnesota. It was a good weekend. Here are some pictures from our walk at the park.

Dear Kiessa - glad to read your post. Played bridge w/Patty yesterday so caught up with how Aden's doing. Sure you enjoyed having your Dad there - we will miss them when they head south.
Take care. Judi Buckingham
Kiessa all I can do from this distance is send hugs to you and wishes that you will finally get the rest you need before you can regain your normal day-to-day life. Know that you are in our thoughts.
Love, C & J
Well I am glad that your Dad was able to go out there. That had to be of some relief to you and Dave. That first picture they look so much alike! Give me a call soon.
Love ya, Barb
You guys have been on quite a journey - we continue to think of you all, and pray that you get more rest and relaxation - you have a lot of catching up to do in that department!
Hugs from California,
Deanna
