This week we all were excited about our trip to Missouri to see Aden's camp for next summer. The fall colors are beautiful, Aden was jived about the animals at camp, and we all thought a get-away would be nice. The timing was great because Aden was off from school on Thursday and Friday, so Dave and I had taken those days off as well.
Unfortunately, Aden came home from school on Monday with flu symptoms. By 8:00 that evening he seemed to be having trouble breathing. I called the nurse line and she recommended we bring him to the emergency room. It turned out that his lungs were clear thankfully, so he doesn't have pneumonia... The diagnosis was influenza.
As of today, Aden is still pretty miserable with fever, aches, vomiting and so on. Our weekend trip has been canceled and we all are disappointed. Hopefully we will be able to reschedule our visit. In the meantime we are trying to heal Aden and prevent getting sick ourselves. Our poor little guy :(
Update: 4:11 pm - temp 103.6... Home-made chicken noodle soup on the stove... On the up side? Our new dryer dries a load in under 40 minutes!! YAY.
